Q&A
My clients describe me as genuine, down to earth, collaborative, warm, and empowering.
I am collaborative and active in therapy, utilizing an interpersonal, feminist, and multicultural approach. I am also trained in Dialectical Behavior Therapy and often incorporate these techniques into my therapy as well as use them in my own life.
I work with my clients to establish therapeutic goals and the focus of therapy. Often we talk about the ways in which past experiences with family, peers, and/or trauma impact current identity and relationships.
I specialize in working with anxiety, social anxiety, depression, interpersonal struggles, eating disorders, family of origin issues, abuse and trauma, grief and loss, spirituality, LGBTQ+ identities, and college student mental health.
I love getting to know people's unique stories and experiences and helping them to feel good about themselves and empowered to make their own choices.
I currently offer virtual therapy, which allows my clients flexibility to meet in the own environments.
I have worked successfully with clients with a range of presenting issues and from diverse backgrounds for over 25 years. On a personal note, I live with my wife, three children, dogs and cats and spend my free time cooking, baking, and reading.
