My clients describe me as:
Clients describe me as warm, insightful, caring, honest, interested in learning about them, and willing to own mistakes.
Something to know about my approach is:
I'm a depth oriented therapist (aka psychoanalytic or psychodynamic) that pays attention to the unconscious. Depth therapy revolves around understanding, accepting, and changing yourself deeply and experiencing a healing therapeutic relationship.
Together, we will:
The goal is to speak as freely as possible, to put words to whatever needs to be heard and felt. We will look for repeating patterns of thought, feeling, and ways of relating to yourself and others. With support and growing awareness change begins.
I specialize in working with people who:
My clients get the feeling that they need to understand themselves better and want to be caringly seen and heard. I work with depression, anxiety, attachment issues, childhood/relational trauma, grief, highly sensitive persons, and spiritual concerns
I became a therapist because:
I became a therapist because there is too much suffering in the world and I'd like to do my part to alleviate some of it.
Something that stands out about where I offer therapy is:
Depth therapy offers a special kind of relationship that helps one to get to know and accept what is unknown in us and to heal and grow as a result.
More about me and my practice:
I did training at the Cleveland Psychoanalytic Center, Jung Institute of Chicago, and have years of training in consultation with highly experienced psychoanalysts. My approach to therapy integrates Freudian, Jungian, and Attachment theory.
