I think feeling safe would be a description of what it is like to work with me. When people are safe and comfortable, then therapy can proceed.

My approach is client centered and I desire to start where the client desires to start. Initially forming a trusting therapeutic relationship - a space where the client feels safe - is foundational. All therapy will flow from the relationship.

Work side by side to find the most fulfilling path desired by the client. I think we do have an intuitive sense of where we would like to be or the behavior changes we would like to make. Therapy can facilitate our movement in that direction.

My range of experience during my career has involved preschool mental health to the geriatric population. In various settings - outpatient counseling, inpatient hospital, residential, and intensive outpatient substance use treatment.

I do offer traditional mental health treatment for the full range of mental health/behavioral concerns. Additionally, I offer a Christian approach to therapy as requested by the individual seeking treatment.
