My clients describe me as:
Safe, authentic, warm, open, empowering, and holistic.
Something to know about my approach is:
I implement a trauma informed and integrative approach. I establish the foundation for my therapeutic process on psychoeducation and the mind-body connection. I apply concepts and skills from MBCT, IFS, DBT, Systems, Somatic, and Attachment theory.
Together, we will:
Hold space for you to foster your own healing. You are capable of vulnerability, getting your needs met, and sustainable change. You will learn how to de-center from overwhelming thoughts, emotions, and sensations to be more present and in control.
I specialize in working with people who:
have experienced developmental trauma, living with mood disorders, college students, and members of the LGBTQIA+ community. I value the importance of intersectional identities and acknowledge the impact that systemic oppression has on our well-being.
I became a therapist because:
I wanted to be the person who would have made "Little Me" feel safe and unconditionally supported and provide this to others as a career.
Something that stands out about where I offer therapy is:
My unconventional and historic office space as well as practicing in the heart of rural Appalachia Ohio, where my own cultural roots live.
More about me and my practice:
During my time off I prioritize my own wellness and self-care. I love cozy coffee shops and spending time traveling, gardening, and tending to my house plants. Interacting with the natural world is integral to my professional and personal life.
