Mary (Shannon) Hazen

I offer a nonjudgmental, safe, trusting space for healing. I will validate your experiences, help you understand trauma's impact on your health, relationships and overall wellbeing and help you process trauma at your own pace. I seek to understand attachment and loss and how early relational experiences shape our capacity for connection.

As an "in the trenches" therapist, I will shoulder up with you as you confront your deepest pain. I bring valuable lived experience, having navigated personal tragedy after sudden loss. That doesn’t mean I will burden you with stories from my own life but instead see you more clearly as a hero on your own journey.

My clients describe me as a calm, compassionate, and stabilizing presence in the face of their most daunting life challenges. By creating a collaborative and safe space, I help those I work with to move through overwhelming pain and toward a rebuilt sense of self, characterized by resilience and hope.
