My clients describe me as:
My approach has been described as playful, warm, and safe. I walk alongside clients as they experience increased hope, self-acceptance, and purpose.
Something to know about my approach is:
I believe that many mental health symptoms arise as a result of experiencing tremendous aloneness in the face of unbearable emotions. My approach to therapy is informed by trauma-focused, interpersonal-neurobiology, and attachment perspectives.
Together, we will:
Create a space where you feel safe and connected so we can build on your strengths and help you overcome challenges. We will laugh a lot. We might cry a bit, too; but together we will work through intense emotions with self-compassion.
I specialize in working with people who:
Adolescents and young adults who struggle with symptoms related to trauma, anxiety, social anxiety, panic, and depression. Being a young person in our chaotic and unpredictable world is tough! You're not alone!
I became a therapist because:
When I was 14 years old I wanted to become a psychologist. I had all of these big, intense emotions and wasn't sure why or what to do about them.
