My clients describe me as:
Compassionate, interactive, communicative, insightful, affirming, trans and queer friendly, dedicated to justice, and fun
Something to know about my approach is:
My approach is warm, fun, compassionate and directive. I don't just sit and listen; I offer constructive feedback while providing a relaxed environment for couples and families to explore and express their inner most thoughts and feelings.
Together, we will:
Get to the heart of the issues in your partnership or family relationships that go unexpressed. Together, we'll explore the emotions that underlie your communication and develop skills to deepen relational attachment and intimacy.
I specialize in working with people who:
I specialize in couples and families who have one or more members who identify as LGBTQ and are feeling activated by relational trauma. I can help relieve pain and anxiety that comes with disconnection and help you feel more attached to one another.
I became a therapist because:
I became a therapist because I wanted to pay forward the excellent counseling I received in my 20's and 30's and as a parent of an LGBTQ person
Something that stands out about where I offer therapy is:
I offer telehealth appointments, which allows family members in different locations to access therapy together. Great for parents and adult children.
More about me and my practice:
I am almost 60 and as such, have real life experience raising a family of my own. I am also curious and iquisitive, so I continually keep up on the latest modalities and social justice practices so that I can serve a more diverse population.
