My clients describe me as:
Warm and caring, affirming, spiritually welcoming, fun (it's therapy, but we can laugh at ourselves sometimes too)
Something to know about my approach is:
Primarily I work from a person-centered and solution-focused approach to therapy. I also integrate techniques from other approaches, such as cognitive-behavioral therapy, mindfulness, short-term psychodynamic and schema therapy, according to need.
Together, we will:
take a deep breath and be curious about the patterns in your life, being kind to the needs that are going unmet and the ways of meeting them that aren't working. Being seen and heard brings new perspectives and change grows out of insight.
I specialize in working with people who:
are stuck and looking to invest in themselves and make a change. I specialize in spiritual issues and people coming from spiritually abusive experiences. I particularly enjoy working with people starting or ending careers or relationships.
I became a therapist because:
I saw so many women at the university where i worked who were held back from realizing their potential because they were trying to be someone else.
Something that stands out about where I offer therapy is:
Convenience, resources, affordability
More about me and my practice:
In a time of changeI can offer support as you sift through the rubble of your structure of meaning, helping you identify what to keep, what to change and what to let go of. Together we can build a new house of meaning that can hold who you reallyare.
