trusting, open-minded, dedicated, safe, easy to feel comfortable around, caring, professional, respectful, knowledgeable, motivated to help.
Something to know about my approach is:
I look at the client as a whole, and the parts that you are struggling with do not define you. I work from a strengths based approach, and will work hard to find your strengths and the parts that you are confident in.
Together, we will:
manage the difficult thoughts and feelings, and find positive and confident ones to move forward with. We will talk openly and honestly, and set goals that are achievable and comfortable for you.
I specialize in working with people who:
have struggled with anything related to childbearing. I specialize in maternal mental health which can include (but not limited to) Postpartum mental health, grief of miscarriages and infertility, finding comfort in your new identity as a mother.
I became a therapist because:
growing up I always enjoyed helping and listening to others. I continued to have a passion for that through college and into adulthood.
Something that stands out about where I offer therapy is:
I have a room in my office reserved for parents with young children that includes a changing table, and a rocking chair that we can use for session.
More about me and my practice:
I have a deep passion for everything maternal. I am a mother and stepmother myself, and I am also a certified doula. I am dedicated and motivated to help you feel better and my ears are ready to listen.
