My clients describe me as:
Direct and solution focused. I am relatable and conversational in therapeutic style. You can expect to feel at ease in sessions.
Something to know about my approach is:
I use evidence based approaches including cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) and EMDR for trauma. My goal is to help clients find solutions to their problems while also holding space for that which may not have an immediate solution.
Together, we will:
work together to help you find joy in life and learn coping skills for when life gets hard. We will work towards meeting goals that will empower you and move you forward. This often means changing old behaviors and integrating new ones.
I specialize in working with people who:
struggle with disordered eating, eating disorders, body image, substance use, anxiety, life transitions, and trauma. I pride myself on meeting you where you are at in any area and working to find solutions that feel good for you.
I became a therapist because:
we are all just trying to do our best with what we have and our innate humanness connects us. I like helping people feel more human and less alone.
Something that stands out about where I offer therapy is:
that I offer both in person sessions and remote sessions. In person I am located close to multiple college campuses in Nashville, TN.
More about me and my practice:
I pride myself on being a direct and empathetic therapist. I often use humor in sessions when appropriate, but also challenge and work with clients to grow in a serious manner. I am a Great Dane mom and spend my time outside of session with my pup.
