Feel disconnected from themselves. For a variety of reasons, we find ways to protect ourselves from painful feelings or people who might hurt us, and these protective behaviors often end up leading us to to feel disconnected from our true selves.

I have experienced the change that is possible when you know yourself better and understand how to manage your emotions in healthy ways.

I believe that most mental health struggles aren't pathological. What I see in people is ways they have adapted to survive difficulties in life that have in turn created new challenges like relationship issues, anxiety, burnout, and addiction.
