My clients describe me as:
non-judgmental, down to earth, and empowering. I move with you, at your pace. It takes time to build trust and a relationship following trauma.
Something to know about my approach is:
as an Expressive Arts Therapist and Cognitive Processing Therapy Provider, I work to help you recover from traumatic events which have negatively impacted the thoughts about yourself, others, and the world.
Together, we will:
explore negative thoughts around past traumas which are causing you feelings of anger, self-blame, guilt, and shame, using both a verbal and expressive approach.
I specialize in working with people who:
enjoy a creative, non-traditional approach to therapy. Using the expressive arts in therapy, specifically visual journaling, has given clients to opportunity to hear and trust themselves. Imagine following your own inner voice for a change.
I became a therapist because:
I witnessed the impact of trauma in the lives of teenagers. My hope is that healing past traumas, offers relief and peace.
Something that stands out about where I offer therapy is:
I offer online therapy, which gives the greatest flexibility and benefits to clients. You can be home, with pets, in comfy clothes, with your coffee.
More about me and my practice:
I am a believer in the evidenced-based approach to trauma/PTSD, however, I also believe the Expressive Arts are a perfect compliment. Visual journaling, specifically, is a way to deepen insight into both the self and the traumatic past.
