My clients describe me as:
Supportive and compassionate as we work together to help them better understand themselves, their past, and their future.
Something to know about my approach is:
I help adults who experienced childhood abuse and trauma heal and create new ways of managing their reactions. Sharing your story can help you understand your current behaviors and relationships, and create a plan for healing.
Together, we will:
reduce & manage symptoms of depression and anxiety, process grief and trauma, improve relationships, and change behavioral patterns such as procrastination, perfectionism, or people pleasing. Often, this work feels empowering and life changing.
I specialize in working with people who:
are experiencing symptoms of complex trauma/CPTSD as well as anxiety, depression, perfectionism, self-esteem, guilt, academic/work pressure, people pleasing, and grief and toxic family dynamics or who grew up in dysfunctional or abusive families.
I became a therapist because:
My own therapy helped me to process and manage the ways in which trauma gaslights us into shame, guilt, and anxiety and led me to becoming a counselor
Something that stands out about where I offer therapy is:
I work with a feline co-therapist, Zen. He is available upon request to sit with clients during sessions. I also serve pretty great coffee/espresso.
