About Me:

  • My clients describe me as:

open, warm, nonjudgemental, and patient as we work together to better understand their lives, personal & family histories, and the world around them.

  • Something to know about my approach is:

You are the expert in your life. You are in the driver's seat in therapy. I'm here to help and guide you, but your comfort, needs, and intuition take precedence. We will check in often to make sure our work together is serving you well.

  • Together, we will:

reduce & manage symptoms of depression and anxiety, process grief and trauma, improve relationships, and change behavioral patterns such as procrastination, perfectionism, or people pleasing. Often, this work feels empowering and life changing.

  • I specialize in working with people who:

have experienced with toxic family dynamics and/or who grew up in dysfunctional or abusive families. Prior to counseling, I worked as a public school teacher and also specialize in working with educators.

  • I became a therapist because:

My own therapy changed my life. I felt heard and was able to process and manage the ways in which trauma gaslights us into shame, guilt, and anxiety.

  • Something that stands out about where I offer therapy is:

I work with a feline co-therapist, Zen. He is available upon request to sit with clients during sessions. I also serve pretty great coffee/espresso.

  • More about me and my practice:

I am an LPC-Associate, supervised by Mark Cagle, LPC-S. I own Solace Counseling and Coaching, in Houston TX and see clients in person and virtually.
