My clients describe me as:
kind, curious and creative, but also direct and to the point. We can always find moments of laughter among the serious nature of the trauma work.
Something to know about my approach is:
that I have an eclectic style. I am well versed in numerous modalities like EMDR, Somatic Experiencing, Brainspotting & Ketamine Assisted Psychotherapy. Therapy is an organic, here-and-now process and never follows a scripted pattern.
Together, we will:
heal the hidden wounds of trauma & relieve problematic symptoms. You'll learn about your relationship to your emotions & how to nurture that relationship. We will work to develop a genuine sense of curiosity about who you are & who you want to be.
I specialize in working with people who:
suffer with Complex Trauma, Dissociative Disorders & Dissociative Identity Disorder (DID). I am very comfortable working with personality disorders, including Borderline & Narcissistic.. I work well with issues affecting men and first timers.
I became a therapist because:
of my childhood and adolescent experiences. I fell in love with Social Work's commitment to social and economic justice at micro and macro levels.
Something that stands out about where I offer therapy is:
I'm easily accessible off I10 between Kirkwood and Wilcrest for folks in Memorial, Spring Branch, the Energy Corridor and Katy.
More about me and my practice:
I am always in awe of the natural resilience of the human spirit in the face of complex trauma. I use various techniques (EMDR, SE, Ego State, ACT, Mentalizing, KAP) to help release stored trauma from the brain and the body to reach healing.
