I became a therapist because:
I became a therapist because I myself have personal experience struggling with both anxiety and depression, but found that therapy was very helpful.
More about me and my practice:
I use acceptance and commitment therapy as my primary framework. This is a type of cognitive behavioral therapy that focuses on moving us toward the life we want to live. I also often utilize EMDR, especially for clients with past traumas.
