My clients describe me as:
Safe, calm, and empowering. I am direct and clear because I value your time. You'll find an ASD specific enlightening stance.
Something to know about my approach is:
Because I am intimately familiar with ASD, I know what works and what absolutely does not. You will be challenged, but it will be within a framework that is safe and reasonable given the sensitivity of persons with ASD.
Together, we will:
Attempting to calm the nervous system with evidence-based approaches (polyvagal theory) will be the first step. Next, we will build a developmental landscape that will serve as a roadmap for subsequent treatment plan development.
I specialize in working with people who:
Have debilitating anxiety/anger, & difficulty with relationships. ASD can hinder emotional connections significantly. I aim to support the source of distress to elicit adaptability. Realistic about ASD's limitations, I know where/how to intervene.
I became a therapist because:
I am fascinated by the predictability and simultaneous unpredictability of the human condition.
More about me and my practice:
I reside in Lancaster, Pennsylvania and am fluent in the frequency on which persons with Autism tend to operate.
