I work Monday thru Friday and one or two Saturdays a month.
Three words that describe my style are:
interactive respectful scientific evidence-based
Something unique about my approach is:
My main role in the therapy treatment team is making a solid psychiatric diagnosis and finding the right medication and lifestyle changes to suppport health. I listen to you (apparently unique!) and provide brief supportive psychotherapy.
Together we will explore:
My diagnostic evaluations include the reason you are seeking care, your psychiatric history, trauma, substance use, your medical history, family history, and information on where and how you grew up, school, work, relationships, current lifestyle.
I specialize in working with people who:
are genuinely are working to manage their psychiatric conditions through a combination of medication, therapy, environment and lifestyle. My special clinical interests include ADHD, Mood Disorders including Depression and Bipolar, and Anxiety.
I became a therapist because:
I knew when I was very young that I would pursue nursing and psychiatry because I love to help people - better living through science.
Something that stands out about where I offer therapy is:
Although I am licensed to do therapy, I choose to focus on psychopharmacology (aka medications) and health with supportive therapy.
