My schedule varies a lot; reach out and let me know what works for you, and we'll work on it.
My clients describe me as:
Paula is extremely helpful in her guidance. She is resourceful and is great at meeting you where you are while pushing you to fulfill your own goals
Something to know about my approach is:
I provide trauma-informed care to people experiencing symptoms of depression, anxiety, grief, immigration issues and traumatic experiences. My biggest goal is to make you feel heard, seen and worthy.
Together, we will:
I work with clients on developing a treatment plan and establishing achievable goals together - YOU are the expert on yourself, right? we will develop a toolbox with coping skills that will help deal with moments of struggle, and increase self love.
I specialize in working with people who:
Are dealing with grief and loss, immigration adjustment; traumatic experiences; LGBTQIA+ (trans and non-binary specifically); anyone struggling with managing the highs and lows of the rollercoaster we call living! :)
I became a therapist because:
I think everyone should be listened to without judgement or biases.
Something that stands out about where I offer therapy is:
I will challenge you to get out of your comfort zone while navigating the discomfort with you; we seek therapy because something needs to change.
More about me and my practice:
I am Brazilian and I have been living in the USA for almost 10 years; therefore, I am not a huge fan of abiding to societal expectations and doing things to please others. I encourage my clients to explore within themselves what makes them happy.
