My clients have described me as genuine, kind, hard-working, and giving person. Funny and light, but deep and steady when needed.
Something to know about my approach is:
I am a person-centered therapist who allows the client to navigate the space, while I support with guiding and curiosity questions. I also approach from an emotional focused therapy lens with couples as well as cognitive behavior mindfulness based.
Together, we will:
explore how your different identities have informed how you navigate and see the world. From gender, race, and ethnicity and how the order of your birth in family may affect your outlook. Working on lowering anxiety and understanding your behaviors.
I specialize in working with people who:
identify as a minority in America, with more experience with Asian-Americans born to immigrant parents. With Cantonese speaking parents from Hong Kong and the Philippines who immigrated and met in America, I have the experience from that lens.
I became a therapist because:
I have had a passion with mental health within Asians & men. Having worked with male youth with suicidal ideations & depression. I became inspired.
Something that stands out about where I offer therapy is:
I am an Asian male who was born and raised in the Bay Area, CA and now live and work in the Pacific North West where culture has shifted a lot.
More about me and my practice:
I am as transparent and try to accommodate as best as possible with clients. With a fully virtual practice with a self-scheduler, I offer convenience to the client's time and schedule.
