My values are confidentiality, creativity, compassion, and acceptance. I live into these values in and outside of the therapy room.
I use a mix of CBT and ACT, with elements of IFS and trauma therapies. I spend time building rapport first, then moving into interventions next. Once we complete an assessment and develop goals for your treatment, we will work to achieve them.
Spend time getting to know each other, working on goals, and moving forward with progress that feels right for you. I use homework between sessions, but this could be as simple as reflecting on the work we did in a session.
have religious trauma or other traumas in their lives. This could be recent single-incident traumas or chronic PTSD. I also work with LGBTQ people who struggle with Christian or other religious identity intersections and reconciling the identities.
I understand people. I was a science major in undergrad and struggled, but the first psychology class I took I was hooked!
I offer therapy both through telehealth and in-person in Renton, WA. I also teach counseling at a university and this helps keep me knowledgeable.
I enjoy the work I do very much. I enjoy having the privilege of creating a holding space for people who have troubles that they want to talk about and sort through with a trusted person. I am very person-centered, so I walk alongside you as we work.
