The therapeutic relationship is extremely important to me. I hope to create an atmosphere where you feel comfortable expressing and exploring difficult feelings and emotions. I utilize different modalities based on what works best for you.
We will take time to explore the situations that led you to seek therapy. We will find the root causes of distress or dissatisfaction and help develop new coping strategies and thought processes to help restore emotional and mental health.

I am considered a post-modern therapist. My main approaches are acceptance and commitment therapy, narrative therapy, and mindfulness and relaxation techniques. However, I recognize that not all patients are the same and adjust accordingly.
I like to look at the whole person when considering a treatment plan. Our sessions can vary from discussing childhood memories, relationship patterns, life transitions, coping techniques, children, pets, and practical problem solving strategies.

I prefer the one-on-one relationship that working in individual psychotherapy provides. My philosophy is that the bond that I build with you is the most important aspect of your journey.
Together we will identify the root cause of your anxiety and people-pleasing. We will explore how people-pleasing became your go-to coping mechanism, then unlearn it. We will use real life circumstances you're in to practice healthy boundaries.

I am relatable and friendly but with healthy boundaries. I can model for you what confident boundary-setting looks like so you can see that it's possible to overcome anxious people-pleasing. We don't just talk, we problem-solve so you can thrive.
I enjoy and am gifted in working with clients who have experienced grief and loss, trauma and abuse, relationship distress, co-dependency, attachment wounds, low self-esteem and life transitions.

I am a very active therapist and I like to help clients understand what is getting in their way from living the life they want, learn tools to make changes (internally and externally), and refocus on their future and living their best life.
