While working together I help you to find specific approaches to better manage, find strength, and learn to cope. I use CBT and ACT as well as mindfulness and meditation to take a holistic approach to mental health.

My overall approach is person-centered, humanistic, mindfulness, eclectic and strength based. However, I am well trained and frequently implement other approaches in order to create an individualized therapeutic experience.

I treat trauma through the lens of mind/body connection. I primarily use EMDR, which bridges the trauma stored in your body/mind/spirit to allow healing, CBT, which helps you identify and replace unhealthy thoughts, and DBT to teach coping skills

I use humor when appropriate and don't assign random "homework" just because in therapy - I do however recommend activities, books, and podcasts for use in between sessions when appropriate and specific to a client's goals.
