I am currently accepting new clients in-person (limited availability) or on-line.
My clients describe me as:
Warm, understanding and insightful. I see the best in my clients and help them rediscover the best parts of themselves or provide the tools to do so.
Something to know about my approach is:
I draw on multiple theories (attachment, person centered, CBT, motivational interviewing, family systems, narrative) to reflect how past experiences shape current feelings and behaviors. I help remove shame/guilt through education and reframing.
Together, we will:
Collaborate to 1) uncover root causes for present feelings and behaviors and 2) develop strategies and tools to reduce unwanted feelings or behaviors and 3) build confidence, a sense of agency, and greater understanding of self and others.
I specialize in working with people who:
Are having relationship difficulties, such as feeling tension and frustration or finding themselves in the same unwanted situations. I work with clients who want to feel more confident, motivated and able to make choices that meet their values/goals.
I became a therapist because:
It energizes me to provide relief and understanding to those who are struggling emotionally or challenged by the circumstances life has provided.
Something that stands out about where I offer therapy is:
Our office is next to the Pruneyard in Campbell where there are vibrant shops, restaurants and market in an outdoor pedestrian area.
More about me and my practice:
As a mother of a special needs child and an immigrant, I have faced challenges that help me have deeper empathy with clients. I speak conversational Armenian, French and Spanish and prioritize inclusivity of all cultures including Poly and LGBTQ+.
