My clients describe me as:
Considerate, patient, and thorough - someone who goes above and beyond to meet you where you are at.
Something to know about my approach is:
Therapy is not one size fits all. I approach therapy from a culturally-affirming and client-centered perspective. I bring my expertise with behavioral and relational therapies into the space and listen to your experiences to guide what is relevant.
Together, we will:
We will explore boundary setting, regulating emotions, increasing your emotional awareness, improving your relationships, developing self-confidence and acceptance in your identities, and identifying values specific to your fulfilling life.
I specialize in working with people who:
I work with folks living with chronic pain, insomnia, tinnitus, depression, anxiety, trauma, relationship conflicts, and unhealthy behaviors such as excessive video gaming. I am part of and work well with both the AAPI and queer communities.
I became a therapist because:
I want to uplift the voices of people impacted by mental health and to rewrite what mental health can mean for them.
Something that stands out about where I offer therapy is:
I have a telehealth practice which means I use video, phone, and emails to support your treatment so you're not on your own outside of therapy.
More about me and my practice:
I'm a gay, second-generation Taiwanese-American, Bay Area transplant from the East Coast. Since moving to Oakland, I can usually be found lounging on the couch with my cat, playing video games, trying new tea shops, and hiking around the Bay.
