I aim to make the experience authentic & validating for those I work with. I like to balance humor with reflection, encouragement with accountability
I approach therapy sessions with a more relaxed style and use a variety of techniques to inform how I support you. I value practical self care and coping strategies, honoring our roots, and teaching my clients about how their body and brain work.
Believe it or not, you do know and have intuition of what's best for you, so we'll spend our time working to get the echoes of naysayers out of your head and amplifying the encouragement from yourself and loved ones.
Have to code-switch, have difficulties with getting a seat at the table, have challenges communicating with their parent(s), have challenges connecting with their teen(s), experience constant anxiety due to a partner/parent's job (ie first responder)
I have hope for humankind and would love to contribute at least a drop in the bucket towards that hope.
There's two pizza spots, an ice cream shop, and a really good banh mi sandwich mom and pop shop within a leisurely five minute walk from my office.
I think it's SO important for us therapists to have a consistent self care-decompress practice. That being said, I enjoy time with my mini, husband and loved ones, a gym sesh, live music, a solid NY style pizza, and naps.
