My clients describe me as:
Nurturing, empathetic, skilled, kind, and insightful; see my website for a more complete "word cloud" of how clients have described me.
Something to know about my approach is:
My priority is to create a safe, nonjudgmental space where you feel free to share any and all of your thoughts, feelings, and questions. I will come alongside you to help you discover more about who you are and what you really want out of life.
Together, we will:
Explore patterns from the past which may not be serving you today; look at issues of grief and loss which come with all of life's transitions; and explore various tools to help you move forward in areas where you might feel stuck.
I specialize in working with people who:
Are grieving a loss of any kind or size; are questioning or have left their faith/religion; have wounds from religion, especially LGBTQ+ folx; are in a life transition; have relationship issues (including couples, friendships, family issues).
I became a therapist because:
I have benefited so much from therapy myself; I want to pay that forward to others who need care and support.
Something that stands out about where I offer therapy is:
The Spruce Room at People House is comfortable and full of natural light; there is free off-street parking in the back of the building.
More about me and my practice:
At age 61, I bring a lot of life experience to my practice. I will bring my authentic self to our sessions and come alongside you with kindness, compassion, curiosity, and a bit of humor, as we explore your unique journey together.
