My clients describe me as:
Sincere, compassionate, non-judgmental and hope-centered.
Something to know about my approach is:
I recognize that creating a safe, non-judgmental space to identify and process the complexities of trauma is essential for healing; and much of this healing can take place when we learn to practice self-compassion and build our inner courage.
Together, we will:
Recognize & deconstruct the unhelpful beliefs and habits you might be stuck in, & reconstruct those patterns so that you can live a life that is not defined by your experience of trauma.
I specialize in working with people who:
Have experienced trauma due to relationship abuse & family violence. I understand one experience of trauma can often lead to others, and the symptoms of trauma can also re-traumatize and re-victimize.
I became a therapist because:
Using the science of hope & self-compassion, I want to help clients break down their shame & realize their worth.
Something that stands out about where I offer therapy is:
I only offer telehealth right now, so there is flexibility in meeting virtally.
More about me and my practice:
I also recognize that talk therapy alone is not enough to relieve our bodies of the pain and memories it carries. Much of my work is influenced by research on embodiment and completing the stress cycle through movement & connection to nature.
