My clients describe me as:
This is cliche but many clients have used words like warm, authentic, and non-judgmental. I've also heard that I'm "fun but we still do serious work".
Something to know about my approach is:
At the end of the day, the most important part of therapy is being able to build a trusting relationship together. I promise to see you as human first, to help you see your worth, and to honor your willingness to share your inner world.
Together, we will:
We will discuss only what you are comfortable sharing. Most of the time this includes current work or relationship stressors, past painful experiences, thoughts, feelings, short-term and long-term goals, how to work towards goals, and ways to cope.
I specialize in working with people who:
Chronically feel overwhelmed, drained, hopeless; those who may struggle with substance use as a means to cope with a current and/or painful past; those who are navigating a life transition; and those who struggle in their relationships with others.
I became a therapist because:
When we understand a person's inner world, we create the opportunity for real connection and real healing. I like helping people feel seen and heard.
Something that stands out about where I offer therapy is:
Choosing to see a therapist and add an extra task to your day is already hard. Telehealth can make it easier to follow through with appointments.
More about me and my practice:
I promise that I will accept you for who you are on your good days, bad days, at your best, and worst. Those things you feel like you can't share, I encourage you to share them. I will show you that we can safely have hard conversations together.
