I have been described as open-minded, nonjudgmental, kind, and easy to talk to. I want you to feel comfortable sharing your feelings with me.
I have been trained in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy or CBT. In CBT, the idea is that our thoughts, feelings and behaviors are all intertwined. I want to help my clients understand the relationship between their own thoughts, feelings and behaviors.
In our sessions, we will work together as a team to help you process and work through the issues that are leading you to seek treatment. I also bring empathy, understanding and non-judgment to our sessions.
I have worked with individuals experiencing various types of mental health issues from stress associated with life transitions to auditory hallucinations stemming from schizophrenia. Whatever the issue is, I am here to help you work through it.
When I was younger, there were very few Asian-Indian clinical psychologists and wanted to bring an understanding and cultural awareness to the field.
Offering flexibility between in person and virtual sessions allows my clients to chose the environment they are most comfortable in.
