I am someone that will listen, never judge, and give you an outside perspective on what is causing you distress.
I primarily use Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy(CBT) and Motivational interviewing in my treatment. The primary purpose of CBT treatment is that success in therapy results from identifying and changing negative thoughts and/or beliefs.
Work on helping you with the feeling of being stuck in how you think and process the world by assisting you in learning coping skills to change the thought patterns that keep you cycling through all the negativity.
Have a desire for change and understand that you have been thinking one way for a long time and it takes time to change that process but change is possible.
I wanted to help others the same way I got help through therapy throughout my lifetime and have always had the desire to be a support to others.
I have my own private office surrounded by other qualified clinicians and can also provide services via telehealth if needed.
I do offer animal therapy in the form of my hound mix, Matti, occasionally coming with me to the office if requested by a client. I find having her there brings a lot of comfort to my clients and she loves the pets and attention she gets from them.
