My clients describe me as:
Someone who is non-judgemental and balances helpful feedback with validation.
Something to know about my approach is:
That it's direct and compassionate. I utilize dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT) to help clients create goals and make actual behavioral changes to meet those goals.
Together, we will:
Look at previous relationships with self and others as well as emotion to establish goals and help create actual changes. I include teaching of skills in my sessions, so come ready to work!
I specialize in working with people who:
Are burned-out people pleasers who have difficulty with managing and expressing their emotions and relationships. People come to me tired and stressed and know they need help, though usually don't know where to start.
I became a therapist because:
I wanted to be a person whom people could go to and not feel judged about what they were thinking and feeling, like my first therapist was for me.
More about me and my practice:
I believe that just because you may have been dealt a "crappy hand" or have been in and out of "toxic" relationships doesn't mean you can't make changes and find contentment or even happiness!
