Direct, validating, and empathetic. I believe humor is healing, and believe therapy is best with a cup of coffee or tea.
Something to know about my approach is:
I believe you are the professional of your own life, and my job is to help you find the path that you want to be on. I try to balance compassion and empathy with direct challenges. I also integrate DBT skills with most of my work.
Together, we will:
Walk the path of healing through humor, validation, and challenges. We will talk about family of origin, current life stress (including the impact of current events), and trauma as identified by you.
I specialize in working with people who:
are in the process of family planning, are pregnant, have lost a pregnancy, and are needing help around parenting stress. I also enjoy working with relationships concerns and trauma.
I became a therapist because:
life can be difficult. I wanted to create space for people to come as they are, and feel safe to be honesty about how hard life is sometimes.
More about me and my practice:
I am currently only providing services via telehealth. I am planning on returning to in-person therapy at an undetermined date.
