My clients describe me as:
safe, helpful, funny, and encouraging. I want my clients to feel like they can share without shame or judgement and leave feeling heard and validated.
Something to know about my approach is:
I let the client lead during session but will also be direct when necessary. I want clients to know that the session is theirs to discuss what they want to discuss and I will help guide them and ask questions, respectfully, to help with processing.
Together, we will:
I love talking with clients about who they are and where they come from. This often looks like discussing relationships. This includes family, friends, community and the relationship with themselves. We will discover patterns and ways to break them.
I specialize in working with people who:
are going through life transitions. This can look like graduating college, entering/ending a relationship, new job, etc.
I became a therapist because:
I needed support and help growing up and mental health was not talked about. It is important to me to be the therapist I needed during those times.
Something that stands out about where I offer therapy is:
I tend to think I am funny so I bring a lot of humor when appropriate. I don't hide my flaws and humanness and I don't want my clients to either.
More about me and my practice:
Above anything else, I want to help and be a supportive person who can challenge clients in a safe, respectful way that leads to growth and change.
