My clients describe me as:
Kind, patient and thoughtful. I listen carefully, choose my words with intention, and hold space for whatever you feel.
Something to know about my approach is:
I believe it is essential to work through the body. I will guide you in learning how to feel your emotions, regulate them, and process them through your body. I utilize interventions from EMDR, Internal Family Systems, and Sensorimotor Psychotherapy.
Together, we will:
Deepen your understanding of the origins your current struggles, gain more control over your nervous system, and reprocess any traumatic memories that you need to reprocess so that you are no longer haunted by past events.
I specialize in working with people who:
Are survivors of domestic violence, sexual assault, sexual abuse, emotional abuse or physical abuse. I also specialize in working with adult children of dysfunctional families, or adult children of parents who struggled/struggle with substance abuse.
Something that stands out about where I offer therapy is:
I have a beautiful office in Carroll Gardens right off the F/G train, and within walking distance of the R.
More about me and my practice:
My work is based in compassion and the belief that every human being has the capacity to heal.
