My clients describe me as:
Easy to talk to, compassionate, friendly, empathetic, understanding, great at making connections between present issues and past events.
Something to know about my approach is:
I like to help you understand patterns of behavior and learn ways to change these behaviors in a way that make sense to you. I believe these pattens can be pointed out in a gentle way that helps build the confidence needed to make lasting changes.
Together, we will:
Make sense of what you are feeling and get clarity on your needs. Identify behaviors to get closer to goals. Focus on realistic solutions to problems. Develop a plan for actively working on these changes and dealing with roadblocks to change.
I specialize in working with people who:
Feel some level of Anxiety, Depression and/or Stress. People who are noticing that it is affecting their work, their relationships, their ability to make decisions. People who feel overwhelmed and just want to feel calmer and happier.
I became a therapist because:
I like connecting to people & providing support & understanding. I like helping people realize their power so they can take control of their healing.
Something that stands out about where I offer therapy is:
I currently offer remote therapy via Telehealth, which allows me to offer therapy across all of New York State.
More about me and my practice:
I am a bilingual (English/Spanish) therapist of Dominican decent and take pride in offering this cultural perspective to my clients. I am also proud to offer the perspective of being the parent of a child with a special need.
