Weekday afternoons, evenings, and weekends
My clients describe me as:
Someone who makes them feel listened to without being too passive. They would say I balance kindness with being direct when necessary.
Something to know about my approach is:
that I draw from both CBT and DBT while taking a psychodynamic approach as necessary. I practice under the assumption that there is no one “correct” way to do therapy, and that each person needs an approach catered to them.
Together, we will:
Work on finding the tangible steps you can take to improve what you would like to improve in your life. I will help you refine a skillset that will help you meet your own needs while also nurturing the positive relationships in your life.
I specialize in working with people who:
May be in a place in their lives where they have noticed patterns of behavior that they want to change. They may have thought a lot about these areas and feel like they have a good idea of when these issues come up, but are unsure of what to do next.
I became a therapist because:
of my experiences during mutual aid work in Brooklyn during the pandemic.
More about me and my practice:
As a queer clinician, I recognize the unique ways those of us in the LGBTQ+ community may identify and live, and will help to ensure that the skills you build also affirm your lifestyle. Additionally, the Aetna plan I take is Aetna Student Health.
