Therapy with me involves building the therapeutic relationship first to be comfortable with getting to the work of therapy.
I take a relational approach, focusing on building strong therapeutic relationships to help clients understand how connections can drive change. I specialize in working with underserved and marginalized communities across North Carolina.
As a therapist, my goal is to collaborate with clients to develop tools for growth and coping with life’s challenges. We will towards identified goals and discuss what you think is important to improve your wellbeing.
I work with children, young adults and families, both individually and in family sessions, to address mental health and family dynamics. I use modalities such as CBT, DBT, and Structural Family Therapy.
I’m Naz, a LCSWA in NC, and as an African-American clinician, I understand how identity, generational experiences, and systemic challenges shape mental well-being. I believe therapy should be a safe and affirming space.
