5/18/24-6/8/24--virtual only, Saturdays; Starting 6/10/24--weekdays w/ limited in-person sessions
My clients describe me as:
a golden retriever--I bring positivity and humor to our sessions, ready at any moment to "sit" beside you and hold space for your feelings.
Something to know about my approach is:
we will be equal partners. My DBT background & humanistic framework combines processing/reframing of your experiences with learning coping strategies to help you deal with them in the future. I am also Health at Every Size (HAES) & trauma-informed.
Together, we will:
figure out what’s most important to you, how to get it, and start removing obstacles one at a time. Our focus will be helping you stop fighting your body, getting relief from your life as it is, and/or simply embracing your true potential.
I specialize in working with people who:
a) feel like their body will never be "good" enough or “healthy” enough & have been led to believe "fixing" it is a matter of "will-power." b) feel their lives are a cycle of crisis & distress, ending up in a deeper "hole" with each passing day.
I became a therapist because:
I know firsthand how life-changing it can be to invest time and mental energy in yourself WITH the support of a professional. I've been there.
