Q&A
I am a psychoanalytically-oriented counselor. I pay attention to both word choice and what is not yet sayable in words.
Rather than put a Band-Aid on the problem, the goal of treatment is to lessen suffering by gaining a deeper understanding of its root causes. My goal is to help you find your authentic desire in life, treating you with both dignity and respect.
In session, free association is encouraged: where you speak with as little self-censorship as possible. We can discuss bodily symptoms, dreams, and unwanted behaviors. We can address the past in so far as it impacts your present and future.
I work with clients struggling with anxiety in relation to life transitions, relationships, and sexuality. Many of my clients are creatives and young professionals.
Tanglewood is a convenient, central location in Houston. My office is bright and calming. We offer complimentary coffee in the waiting room.
In 2016, I started my training at the New Lacanian School in Montreal. I have presented at clinical conferences and continue my formation in personal analysis, supervision, and research. Since 2023, I am a member of the Lacanian Compass group.
