My clients describe me as:
Clients appreciate that I have a compassionate, warm presence, and that I also prioritize safety in the therapeutic relationship.
Something to know about my approach is:
My approach (informed by IFS and Sensorimotor Psychotherapy) is to help my clients discover the parts of themselves that are responding to past trauma and feelings of overwhelm. These parts can lead to anxiety, depression, dissociation, and more.
Together, we will:
help you learn to notice your traumatized parts as they are activated, and engage in a curious, compassionate dialogue with your traumatized parts so that they can be relieved of the protective roles they occupy in your life.
I specialize in working with people who:
People who have a history of trauma, insecure attachment in their family of origin. Most of the people I work with have vulnerable nervous systems. I am especially passionate about working with parents and helping them end the legacy of trauma.
I became a therapist because:
I want to help people care for themselves the way they needed their own caregiver to, and to end the legacy of trauma in their families.
More about me and my practice:
I offer telehealth appts on Mon, Tues, Wed, and Friday. I work in-person in Woodnville on Thursdays, which are currently full. Since childcare is often a barrier to accessing therapy, I welcome parents to bring their young children to sessions.
