My clients describe me as:
My clients tell me that I am very easy to talk to and that I have created a space where they feel safe. I see my clients and they feel heard.
Something to know about my approach is:
Creating a safe space for my clients is a top priority. This is a necessity when healing from trauma. I am client centered and use evidence based theories and techniques to provide my clients with a collaborative approach to their healing.
Together, we will:
Wether a child or adult, together we will work through the effects of trauma to reduce the chaos and internal turmoil to give you a greater sense of control over your life. Children gain the ability to regulate their behaviors and instill self-esteem
I specialize in working with people who:
Childhood trauma is my focus in both children and adult survivors. Play is the language of children so I use play therapies with kids focusing on attachment. With adult survivors I engage in different talk therapies based on their individuality.
I became a therapist because:
I knew I wanted to be a counselor when I was 12 and all my friends came to me for advise. My own trauma history compels me to help others find peace.
Something that stands out about where I offer therapy is:
My center is a great facility and provides a therapeutic play room for kids 0-12 and a warm and welcoming therapy room where adults are comfortable.
More about me and my practice:
I had a childhood filled with trauma and tried all the self-help books and practices I could find but it wasn't until I engaged with safe and caring counselors that I found my healing. This is why I do what I do and have created the space I did.
