I have a variety of days and times available at the moment; reach out and we’ll make something work!
My clients describe me as:
Nonjudgmental, understanding, fun and engaging, and sessions tend to be empowering rather than upsetting. I focus on creating a safe space to open up.
Something to know about my approach is:
I focus strongly on CBT, or how behaviors, thoughts, and feelings interact and affect each other, as well as EMDR which allows the brain's natural healing processes to work on past traumas. With children, play and/or art are always incorporated!
Together, we will:
Explore and work through past traumas, discover more about the self, learn skills to cope with stress and interpersonal skills, and improve family relationships - all in a warm and nonjudgmental environment.
I specialize in working with people who:
Experience anxiety, have history of trauma, or simply struggle to manage emotions. I do specialize in children and adolescents (especially girls) as well as young adults.
I became a therapist because:
As a child, I was in therapy and despised it. I saw a number of therapists but never felt safe enough to improve, so I wanted to do better work.
Something that stands out about where I offer therapy is:
I offer virtual and in-school services, so you don’t have to drive anywhere extra! Clients often say they feel more comfortable in school or at home.
More about me and my practice:
My practice may be new, but I am not! Healing Connections is focused on helping children in the way I was not as a child. I struggled with family instability and undiagnosed autism, and love working with people both similar and different to myself!
