Something to know about my approach is:

I am a direct with care counselor. Instead of asking, “How does that make you feel?” I ask “What do you need to do now?” Action and movement is what will initiate the change you seek. I work well with people who are ready to accept responsibility.

Together we will explore the resistance and barriers of what is keeping you stuck in your life. You will learn how to take accountability and responsibility for your own life and choices. We will work as a team both in couples and individual session.

I specialize in working with people who:

I enjoy working with people who are experiencing transitions in their lives such as moving into adulthood from high school, marriages and new parents, career changes, change in family, etc. I also work with trauma and addiction.

I became a therapist because:

I became a therapist because I can keep secrets! I never was a gossiper, so your story is safe with me. I enjoy connecting psychology to our behaviors

Something that stands out about where I offer therapy is:

My office is inviting for clients. It has 4 open windows and three living plants. I offer small bottles of water, too! Some decor includes lake life.

Staying Afloat Counseling, LLC is geared towards being honest and real about how it is hard to keep breathing in life at times. It is a place to really be raw and genuine about who you are and never apologize for that. I speak truth and reality.
