My approach is rooted in neuroscience. I keep up w/ current research & how the brain works. Practices & inquires help move folks toward untangling aspects of the mind, leading to clarity, coherence & stability so they can be more flexible & adaptive.
I aim to help each client develop a “toolbox” of strategies/skills that can be used to decrease stress, improve communication in relationships, process emotions, combat intrusive thoughts, or target a variety of other common obstacles in their life.

I believe that therapy is a way for us to get to know who we are, and work towards living with authenticity as our favorite versions of ourselves. I work to empower my clients by establishing trust and challenging them to work towards their goals.

Art therapy can be a great tool in healing and re-writing your story. With art therapy, you don’t have to verbalize all your deepest traumas—symbols and images can often assist you in getting your message across.
Talk about current problems, past events that may be contributing to current problems, what's going well, etc. A session can be a deep dive into your stuff, or a lighter session if it's too much that day. This is your time, and you direct what we do.

My two main personality traits are sarcasm and humor. I know it's important to take therapy seriously, but I also know that humor can be the best medicine. I prefer and eclectic approach to therapy, using what you find most helpful.

I believe the best progress is made when both of us show up authentically and collaborate to understand your deepest needs and emotional barriers and wounds. Above all else I act as a Champion for my clients, but am also happy to educate and guide.
