I use a sociocultural and trauma-informed lens in my work with clients. My goal is to create a safe space for you to keep it real and explore who you are.

I focus on modification of lifestyle behaviors, cognitive behavioral, mindfulness, and encouraging self-awareness through motivational interviewing. I also focus on mood and anxiety related disorders, personal wellness, and self-esteem.
Together, we will examine the health of your mind, body, and spirit, and I will provide tangible skills to help you grow in each of these domains. My goal is to create a sacred and safe space for you to explore difficult emotions.

I use Adlerian theory to help understand the nature of what brought you into counseling. I focus on goals and life tasks to drive healing, and it is important to me that every step we take is collaborative. I believe you are the expert on yourself.
Get acquainted with you and your concerns. I will listen well to you as a unique person and focus on what you want to be better in your life. Then the homework begins. Things get better when you begin to apply new ideas and behaviors to your life.

I don't waste your time, but I do want to get a thorough understanding of your situation before I make action suggestions that will make things better. By the third or forth session, you should be able to tell that things are getting better for you.
