I'm committed to the mental health and general wellness of Black men. This approach, along with my formal training and lived experience, arms me with the ability to meet Black men where they are and help navigate them toward their desired goals.

As a Cognitive therapist I use interventions that aim to challenge and change unhelpful cognitive distortions and behaviors, improve emotional regulation, and the development of personal coping strategies that target solving current problems.

My approach to therapy is establishing rapport by creating a warm and safe environment for the client to be themselves and process presenting challenges. My practice is focused on assisting clients working through challenging moments and emotions.

My approach is highly relational. When working with me you can expect to feel nurtured, validated, and heard. Deeply rooted patterns of behavior may also emerge. At this time I collaborate with you to develop coping resources, and healthy boundaries.

I am very collaborative and bring into the space whatever the client and I identify as helpful for their growth, since therapy is not one size fits all. That may look like processing past/current traumas, journaling, "homework," or role playing.
