I am a therapist who assists you with identifying some effective goals, allows you to create a safe space and work on learning new coping strategies. I'm happy to assist you in learning how to see the change, not just talk about it.

I focus on mindfulness and acceptance. That doesn't mean we sit idly by. It means we practice self-compassion, set realistic goals for where we are in life, and make time for self. This is essential for women, as caring for others can wear us down.

My "approach" is understanding that I can't expect you to expose the deepest, darkest, most vulnerable parts of yourself to me if I remain a complete stranger to you.
Together, we will make progress in developing realistic optimism and in moving toward your most important values, while finding ways to cope with and/or to gain an acceptance of your most difficult past, present and future concerns.

I use a client centered approach that often involves Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART) and/or a form of pastoral counseling for most of my clients.
