How frequently should I go to therapy?

People often go to therapy either once a week or once or twice a month. 

You may feel like you need more or less than that, depending on the specific mental health problem you would like to work on. Talk to your mental health counselor about what frequency works for you.

You may find that you need more intensive services than your therapist can provide, such as inpatient services and intensive outpatient services. Your mental health therapist can help you decide what’s best for you.
