Clients will discuss their health history and prior treatment efforts, family history and current status, social systems and status of supports, relationships and patterns, and their own outlook, identity, purpose and values.

I pair art therapy with evidence-based practices like cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) and utilize traditional talk therapy with art therapy depending on a client’s needs and comfort level. If a client has no interest in art-making, that's ok too.
Work towards gaining knowledge and an understanding behind specific issues being experienced and building healthy coping mechanisms along with learning new skills such as emotional regulation, communication, stress tolerance, etc.

Being able to identify reasons for issues experienced and triggers that may cause unwanted behaviors or emotions. Paying attention to mutli-generational family patterns and learned behaviors to guide towards healthier patterns will be a focus area.
