I believe therapy is a cooperative process. I will give you information along the way to assist you in making informed choices in treatment. My primary modality is the use of EMDR to address the impact of past events on our current lives.
We will work on identifying the threads, both painful and joyful, that run through the stories of your life. Once we get a good sense of those contours, we'll start gently tugging apart the threads until the knot doesn't hurt anymore.

I often use more skills-based therapies as we begin work together to decrease the frequency and intensity of your symptoms. After you feel more stable, we use more insight-based, psychodynamic, and trauma-informed therapies to create lasting change.

The most important part to therapy is the relationship with your provider and I am always wanting feedback from you because this is your journey. I use a variety of therapeutic modalities as listed but aware not one model fits all.
